Something adora(ble)

It's a clever title.. for a pretty clever name.
This is Adora, I received an email from her dad Hanan... who is doing quite a large art project where various artists choose from a variety of photos of Adora as reference for an art piece.

Here's my submission

Thank yoU for the opportunity, Hanan! It was amazing and your daughter, truly is, Adora(ble) I really did enjoy doing this :)
Hope everyone's having a awesome summer !

Wilde elf

Absolutely everyone you ask is just in love with Olivia Wilde (understandable; she's frigin gorgeous).
Something a (really dorky) friend requested.

Yes. That's Olivia Wilde as an elf (how dorky).

Le Twin

Les Twins are one of the coolest dance duos ever. I really wanna meet them one day :)

This is Larry Bourgeois (I think? They're identical... so it could be Laurent)
Watch this if you don't know who these guys are

The view outside my window tonight..

Goodnight!

Very overdue.

I can't recall how many entries have started this way (or with that title), ANYHOW here's the Demo reel!

Some detail shots (more here)-

Looking back at the old renders.... it's amazing to notice how much you learn from teachers and on your own. Though to be honest, I still like Vray more. Out of the three, I'll be honest.. had the most fun doing the cabin.... it could have something to do with doing it over a shorter period of time. Seriously though, it's insane when you work through all the issues, the things you learn.

Hooray! (the waiting game sucksss).
Anywayssss, sketches coming real soon*

Things

So much for being able to update every week... nonetheless, this is kind of an update so check it out.
First off- this sketch was totally out of the blue (thank you Andy for the awesome brushes!)

Sneak peek of one of the model pieces I'm featuring in my reel...

Yep. A Benzzz. Moar on modeling very coming soon.

New layout +

Yay, new layout. Kinda spring-ish... and yeah, it's just me.. walkin' my future pet chicken.
Oh, also- recently got back into biking (been needing exercise, want to get to school faster and just a reason to get outside). It was a little exhausting, to say the least (since I speed by on streets)... my legs were burning right at the moment, despite riding a bike now for over 8 years... it can still be a challenge to get back into it after a long winter.

Though the burning feeling is a good thing. And the adrenaline that fills your body after something like biking 7k.
Got back into (roller)blading as well. These are the things I do for a bit... when I get really sick of sitting in front of the computer :)

West coast sketchiness (part 1)

Was in BC for r-week and decided to visit one of the local studios for an LD sesh. "Basic Inquiry", an awesome little studio with an amazingly friendly monitor named James. Oh yeah and some sketchiness went on at bus stops, cafes and the boring airport c:

... aaand some things I didn't post before BC...

 Trying out something new...

Breaking this up into two, maybe even three posts since there's alot of stuff to show.

SO overdue.

Seriously failing abit on this New Year's resolution (updating blog once a week).
Aaanyway, stuff from sketchbook....

Some hands and a tiny excerpt from an LD session... I'll upload more LD stuff soon :)

Over the break I watched the movie Memento (if you haven't watched... do it now! It's amazing and really confusing- which makes it so trippy). Anyways, the name "Lennard" came from there. Sometimes I really miss pencil crayons...

More stuff to come!

Happy Holidays!

Random, but was inspired by the song "La petit souris" (lost the musician name). Aaanyways :)

Le tired

... I want a nap..
(then have a nap... then FILE ZE MISSILES)

If you don't know-  click

(serious baking) issues

Yeeeah.

Summer doodlz

I should really update more often... I will. Sketches thus far in a new sketchbook which is ruled, but clearly not stopping me. So here they are!
This summer I did the French program "Explore". Lived and learned French for a solid month and these are a few of the people I drew there

During our trip to Québec City

Aaand these are the last few sketches before I could draw for a while (because unfortunately, I dislocated my elbow when we were on the beach. I fell very awkwardly..)

Creations by "lefty"...

Back in T.O...

Yeah, the last guy was just chillin'.
